Moral values guide us throughout our lives. Moral values are most important for any person because, those values reflect the character of that person. An individual can decide between the good and the bad based on the moral values they have learnt. The values can help in eliminating dishonesty, jealousy and violence problems from one’s life.
Honesty is always the best policy.Honesty is valued in every communication between coworkers; it is a fundamental need between people in the workplace, because it creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence. Be a good example by holding yourself to a high moral and ethical standard. Its better to fail with honor than win by cheating.
Respect for others should include respecting different genders, ideas, religions, races and lifestyles. Infact everyone deserves respect, regardless of age or social standing. In the workplace, respect contributes to job satisfaction and improves knowledge sharing among employees. Ultimately, being respectful creates a fair working environment.
Compassion means to recognize the suffering of others and then taking actions to help. You can show compassion to others by simple tasks like motivating others, helping them in work or just by listening to them. A compassionate person will not judge others.
Forgive your enemies or people who hurt you. Anger in most cases is caused by an unwillingness to forgive. There would be less violence and fighting in society if students were taught this moral virtue. Holding grudges does not benefit you. After all, life is better without the hatred, isn't it?
Hurting others can have a psychological and emotional effect. Apologise immediately if you have hurt someone.Apologies are actually a sign of strength, not weakness. There are consequences of not apologizing. You will damage your relationships with colleagues, clients, friends, or family. It can limit your career opportunities, and lower your effectiveness.
